Mobile Order Expands to Additional Walt Disney World Dining Locations

Mobile Order debuted at Satu’li Canteen in Pandora – The World of Avatar last month and since then the service has expanded to Pizzafari and Flame Tree Barbecue in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Now, this  service which allows guests the convenience of ordering and paying for meals on-the-go within the My Disney Experience App, is coming to two more Walt Disney World Dining locations.  Beginning June 27, the service will be available at Restaurantosaurus at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and beginning July 5, you can use Mobile Order at D-Luxe Burger in Disney Springs.  Restaurantosaurus will be the fourth location inside Disney’s Animal Kingdom to use Mobile Order and D-Luxe will be the first at Disney Springs.

Earlier this month we learned five quick-service restaurants in Magic Kingdom will also receive Mobile Order.  Tomorrowland Terrace, Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café, Pinocchio Village Haus, Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Café, and Columbia Harbor House are all slated to start using Mobile Order this summer.

In case you aren’t familiar, Mobile Order offers a huge convenience to park guests.  Using the app, guests can select menu items, customize their order and pre-pay for their meal. When they arrive at the restaurant they can tap an “I’m here” button in the app, which will notify the kitchen to prepare the meal. When ready, guests will be alerted through the app to pick up their meal at a designated window.

Please note Mobile Orders can only accept credit cards for payment right now and not the Disney Dining Plan.

Hall of Presidents Refurbishment at Magic Kingdom Extended

Hall of Presidents at Magic Kingdom closed for refurbishment back in January so the historic attraction could prepare to welcome the 45th president of the United States, Donald Trump.  The show was originally  scheduled to open later this month; however now it seems the reopening has been delayed.

According to wdwnt.com, Hall of Presidents will not be open in time for the busy Fourth of July holiday and has just been given a generic summer 2017 reopening date.  Others are reporting cast members outside the attraction are informing guests of a September reopening.

There is no official word from Disney regarding the postponement or an exact reopening date; but we will keep you posted with any further updates.

UPDATE: Disney states, due to technical problems, Hall of Presidents will reopen “late 2017”  and President Trump’s audio-animatronic will have a speaking role.
