Walt Disney World Fourth of July Entertainment Schedule

Walt Disney World offers some stellar entertainment to celebrate America’s birthday.  From musical performances, to stage shows, to fireworks spectaculars… there’s something for everyone!

Here’s the Independence Day entertainment schedule:

Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky
Magic Kingdom Park commemorates the Fourth with brilliant fireworks choreographed to patriotic music. The red, white and blue extravaganza will bathe the sky on both July 3 and July 4 at 9 p.m.

IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth
This nightly Epcot favorite adds a patriotic twist to the show, with a special laser light finale celebrating America. Fireworks will blast off at 9 p.m. on July 4.

Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular
Celebrate Star Wars, a great icon of American culture, at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This one-of-a-kind show takes to the sky at 9:30 p.m. nightly.

Rivers of Light
Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s newest nighttime show celebrates a connection with nature through light, water and fire. Rivers of Light has two showings nightly, 9:15 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

Other Independence Day fun and entertainment includes:

  • The talented Voices of Liberty a cappella group will perform traditional Americana tunes during a 4th of July Concert on the America Gardens Theatre stage at 5:30, 6:45 and 8 p.m. The vibrant American Music Machine will perform pop hits, at noon, 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 and 3:50 p.m.
  • Meet favorite Disney Characters — all dressed up to celebrate America’s birthday – throughout the day at the American Adventure Pavilion at Epcot.
  • The Muppets Present…Great Moments in History: Miss Piggy, Kermit, Fozzie Bear and friends reenact famous moments in American history in a whimsical way. The live show is performed daily in Liberty Square.
  • Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa hosts an All-American July 4 cookout from 7-8:30 p.m. The star-spangled feast includes grilled steak and shrimp, hot dogs, baked beans, sides, plus specialty drinks, beer and wine. There’s a live DJ and crafts for kids. After dinner, head to the Grand Floridian Marina for sweets and a view of the Magic Kingdom Park’s July 4 fireworks. Cost is $120 plus tax, gratuity is included; $59 ages 3 to 11. For reservations, 407-WDW-DINE.

Disney Announces Full ‘Eat to the Beat’ Concert Line-Up

The 2017 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival will run for a record 75 days this year and will also bring a record number of 32 “Eat to the Beat” bands to perform at the event.  The full-line-up includes 11 new acts including Kenny G, Squeeze, and Blue October as well as returning favorites like Boyz II Men, Fuel, and STARSHIP starring Mickey Thomas.

Here’s the 2017 Eat to the Beat concert line-up: (Lineup is subject to change; songs listed are for artist recognition only and may not be included in the concert play list.)

The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival opens Aug. 31 and runs through Nov. 13.

Performances are 5:30, 6:45 and 8:00 p.m. daily at The America Gardens Theatre and included in Epcot admission.

Reservations Now Open for Holiday Wishes Dessert Premium Package

If you’ll be attending Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom this year, you may want to consider making reservations for the Holiday Wishes Dessert Party.  This add-on experience takes place most party nights at the Tomorrowland Terrace and includes a themed dessert buffet and a special viewing location for the Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season fireworks above Cinderella Castle.

Guests will enjoy a toast of sparkling cider and holiday-themed eats, including  cupcakes and desserts prepared by the pastry chef, along with a bountiful buffet of sweet treats—like chocolate-dipped strawberries, chocolate mousse, ice cream, cheeses and fresh, seasonal fruits. Christmas specialty drinks, signature lemonades, coffee, tea and hot chocolate will also be served.

Holiday Wishes Dessert Party is available on the following nights:

  • November 9, 10, 12, 14, 16, 17, 26 and 28, 2017
  • December 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 10, 12, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21 and 22, 2017

Cost is $79 for adults and $47 for children ages 3 to 9 (tax not included). Please note: a separate ticket to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is also required and is not included in the price of this package.

If you’ll be attending Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom this year, you may want to consider making reservations for the Happy HalloWishes Dessert Party.  This add-on experience takes place most party nights at the Tomorrowland Terrace and includes a themed dessert buffet and a special viewing location for the Happy HalloWishes Fireworks Spectacular over Cinderella Castle.

Guests will enjoy a toast of sparkling cider and Halloween-themed eats, including chocolate-dipped strawberries, chocolate mousse, cupcakes, ice cream, seasonal fruits, cheeses and other ghoulish goodies created daily by the master pastry chef. Specialty drinks, signature lemonades, coffee, tea and hot chocolate will also be served.

Happy HalloWishes Dessert Party is available on the following nights:

  • August 29
  • September 1, 7, 10, 12, 15, 17, 19, 22, 24, 26 and 29
  • October 1, 3, 5, 6, 9, 10, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20, 22, 24, 26, 27, 29 and 31
  • November 1

 

Cost is $79 plus tax for Guests ages 10 and older and $47 plus tax for Guests ages 3 to 9.  Valid theme park admission and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party tickets are required and not included in package cost

Epcot’s Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival to Debut 2 New Films

Epcot’s Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival is currently closed this week for a short refurbishment.  When the attraction reopens on June 19, 2017, two new films will debut alongside the current fan-favorite “Get A Horse” in 4D.

Previous films, “For the Birds” and “La Luna” will no longer be shown.
