Reading to your little ones just got a little more magical with the launch of Disney and Google’s new interactive Read-Along story books. The updated Read-Along series works with Google Home bringing smart technology to the activity.
As parents and kids read one of several Disney Little Golden Book stories aloud, Google Home recognizes where in the book the readers are, and plays sound effects and music at the appropriate time. Google’s AI also recognizes when readers pause (and begins playing ambient music) and when they go backward or skip forward in the book, making reading time much more flexible for parents and kids.
The experience is available for Google Home devices (say: “Hey Google, let’s read along with Disney”), and currently works with Alice in Wonderland, Cinderella, Coco, Jack Jack Attack, Mickey’s Christmas Carol (which is a Target exclusive), Mickey Mouse and his Spaceship, Moana, Peter Pan, The Three Little Pigs, and Toy Story 3.
