Chef Mickey’s at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, was scheduled to close for maintenance later this month and the popular character breakfast would relocate to the convention center while work was being performed.
Currently, the maintenance at Chef Mickey’s has been cancelled. The restaurant will not relocate and operate as normal.
Mission: Space closed for refurbishment back in June and we recently found out that the refurbishment had been extended beyond its originally scheduled reopening date in July.
Now, we know the reason why this Epcot attraction’s opening was delayed to August. During the D23 Expo, it was announced that in the near future, guests will be able to enjoy new adventures at Mission: SPACE – an updated Orange Mission and a brand-new Green Mission. (Orange is the more intense training experience, while Green is less intense).
The updated Orange Mission will make an even more visually stunning trip to Mars, while the all-new Green adventure will allow guests to blast off for an orbital adventure around planet Earth.

Last week, we gave an update regarding plans for an Uber-like service beginning soon at Walt Disney World Resort.
Today Disney confirmed, starting later this month, guests at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort and Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts will be able to arrange their own private Disney vehicle right from their smartphone. It’ll be simple to do. Just arrange a Minnie vehicle and a Disney cast member will arrive and drive you anywhere you wish at the Resort in a magical way that only Disney can do.
Cost for this service has not been released yet.
