NEW Details Announced for 2018 Epcot International Festival of the Holidays

Epcot International Festival of the Holidays kicks off November 18 at Walt Disney World Resort and features Holiday Kitchens, the Candlelight Processional, special entertainment, the Chip & Dale Christmas Tree Spree, exclusive merchandise and more!  Today Disney announced some new details for the event including food and merchandise items!  Check it out!

The all-new menu at the Feast of the Three Kings marketplace features sofrito-marinated beef with sweet plantains and olives, queso fresco-stuffed arepa topped with shrimp, crushed avocado aji and tomato sauce, as well as arepas topped with melted queso fresco.

Other new food items this year include:

  • Black forest roulade with cherry whipped cream (Bavaria Holiday Kitchen, Germany)
  • Hand-carved smoked ham with green beans and sweet potato casserole (American Holiday Table, The American Adventure)
  • Three variations of croissant doughnuts at the Taste Track marketplace

For even more new foodie fun, track your purchases of five select holiday cookies in your Festival Passport by collecting a unique stamp for each one. Then, stop by Holiday Sweets and Treats to receive a special complimentary “completer” cookie…and a glass of milk!

Guests should also be on the lookout for a new Festival of the Holidays t-shirt and hoodie featuring those lovable rascals, Chip & Dale, in festive attire.

Or check out the new Festival of the Holidays throw. Merchandise will be available inside Mouse Gear and throughout World Showcase.

Beyond the Candlelight Processional, several other favorites return for this year’s Festival of the Holidays. Chip & Dale’s Christmas Tree Spree Scavenger Hunt is fun for the whole family as you travel around World Showcase looking for the famous chipmunks with their ornaments. When you purchase a map and stickers for the hunt and find all the ornaments, return your completed map for a festive surprise courtesy of Chip & Dale.

Then make your day of merrymaking complete with a viewing of IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth. The nighttime spectacular takes place on World Showcase Lagoon and features a special holiday-themed finale that will paint the night sky with joy. This will be the final holiday season for IllumiNations, as it is currently scheduled to conclude at the end of summer 2019. Whether you’ll be seeing it for the first or 50th time, now, more than ever it’s time to give this classic show a fond farewell.

Candlelight Processional Dining Packages On Sale Now

Candlelight Processional takes place at Epcot November 22 – December 30 and presents the traditional story of Christmas  with a celebrity narrator accompanied by a  50-piece orchestra and a mass choir. One of the best ways to experience this festive event is by booking a Candlelight Processional Dining Package which are on sale now.  These packages include a delicious meal and a guaranteed seat for one of the Candlelight Processional performances. Availability is limited.  Details below:

Lunch and dinner packages are available at some favorite Epcot restaurants like Akershus Royal Banquet Hall (Norway pavilion); Biergarten Restaurant (Germany pavilion); Chefs de France (France pavilion); Coral Reef Restaurant (The Seas pavilion); The Garden Grill Restaurant (The Land pavilion); La Hacienda de San Angel** and San Angel Inn Restaurante (Mexico pavilion); Nine Dragons Restaurant (China pavilion); Restaurant Marrakesh and Spice Road Table (Morocco pavilion); Rose & Crown Pub & Dining Room (United Kingdom pavilion); Teppan Edo and Tokyo Dining (Japan pavilion); and Tutto Italia Ristorante and Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria (Italy pavilion).

Breakfast, lunch and dinner options are also available this year at Epcot-area resort restaurants at Ale & Compass at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, with breakfast and dinner options being offered at Trattoria Al Forno at Disney’s BoardWalk.

Celebrity Narrator Line-Up for Epcot’s 2018 Candlelight Processional

Candlelight Processional takes place at Epcot November 22 – December 30 and presents the traditional story of Christmas  with a celebrity narrator accompanied by a  50-piece orchestra and a mass choir.  Disney has announced the celebrity narrator line-up so far for this festive event.

Returning favorites include actress/host Whoopi Goldberg; entertainer Pat Sajak; actors Neil Patrick Harris, Chita Rivera, Gary Sinise, Blair Underwood and Edward James Olmos; and Jodi Benson, who voices Ariel in Disney’s animated classic “The Little Mermaid.”

Dates Announced For 2018 Epcot International Festival of the Holidays

Today Disney announced the dates for the 2018 Epcot International Festival of the Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort.  The popular event will return November 18 – December 30, 2018.

The Epcot International Festival of the Holidays invites guests to discover holiday cheer throughout the park and across all 11 World Showcase pavilions. Special entertainment, storytellers, seasonal favorites at Holiday Kitchens, and eye-catching holiday decor are all part of the fun. Evenings during this time are topped off with a special holiday presentation of “IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth.”

Disney Announces Complete Celebrity Narrator Line-Up for Epcot’s 2017 Candlelight Processional

Candlelight Processional takes place at Epcot November 24 – December 30 and presents the traditional story of Christmas  with a celebrity narrator accompanied by a  50-piece orchestra and a mass choir.  Today Disney announced  the latest narrators who will complete the line-up for this year’s festive event.  Two new faces as well as two returning favorites  join the list of previously announced narrators

Disney Legend Kurt Russell, who has starred in Disney films from the 1960s to 2017’s “Guardians of the Galaxy 2” will read the Christmas story this year – as well as gold- and silver-medal-winning gymnast Laurie Hernandez. Two veterans of the event – actress/comedienne Ana Gasteyer and Jodi Benson, voice of Ariel in Disney’s “The Little Mermaid,” – complete this year’s list.

In addition to lunch and dinner packages, breakfast options are available at some favorite restaurants in and near Epcot again this year like Akershus Royal Banquet Hall and The Garden Grill. Breakfast, lunch and dinner options are also available this year at Captain’s Grille at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, with breakfast and dinner options being offered at Trattoria Al Forno at Disney’s BoardWalk.

Candlelight Dining Packages for breakfast start at $35 plus tax per person for adults and $21 plus tax per person for children, ages 3-9. Candlelight Dining Packages for lunch and dinner start at $44 plus tax per person for adults and $15.50 plus tax per person for children, ages 3-9.
