Mobile Order Expands to Contempo Cafe at Disney’s Contemporary Resort

Mobile Order, the service which allows guests the convenience of ordering and paying for meals on-the-go within the My Disney Experience App, is now available at Contempo Café at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

In case you aren’t familiar, Mobile Order offers a huge convenience to park guests.  Using the app, guests can select menu items, customize their order and pre-pay for their meal. When they arrive at the restaurant they can tap the “I’m here” button in the app, which will notify the kitchen to prepare the meal. When ready, guests will be alerted through the app to pick up their meal at a designated window.

Mobile Order has already debuted at several other restaurants throughout Walt Disney World Resort including:

Please note, Mobile Orders can only accept credit cards for payment right now and not the Disney Dining Plan.  Also, the service is not currently able to offer Annual Passholder or Tables in Wonderland discounts.  These discounts can only be applied at the counter.

Loaded Tots Coming Soon to Magic Kingdom

Beginning next month, Friar’s Nook in Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom will start offering three  new types of loaded tots:

Greek Tots –  topped with tzatziki sauce, tomatoes, onions, banana peppers, olives and feta cheese

Fiesta Tots –  topped with ground beef, tomatoes, peppers, queso and jalapeños

Buffalo Chicken Tots –  topped with buffalo chicken, celery, bleu cheese crumbles and garlic ranch dressing

Rose Gold Minnie Ear Cupcakes Now Available at Epcot

Rose gold is all the rage at the Disney Parks right now.  Starting first with the rose gold Minnie ears, and now with the beautiful and delicious Rose Gold Minnie Ear Cupcake.  It’s a vanilla cupcake—dressed in chocolate-hazelnut swirls and topped with buttercream, fondant ears, rose gold edible glitter, and chocolate pearls.

You can find these beauties  at Sunshine Seasons in Epcot located in the Land Pavilion.

Is A New Table Service Restaurant Coming to Epcot’s Japan Pavilion?

According to wdwnt.com, internal documents show a new signature steak and seafood restaurant is in the works for Epcot’s Japan Pavilion.  The dining establishment does not have a name yet, but plans indicate it will take over some of the space currently utilized by the Mitsukoshi store.

The article also shares the restaurant will have a few different themed rooms:

  • Material Room (Check-In, Lobby)
  • Wa Room
  • Water Room
  • Washi Room
  • Wood Room
  • Stone Room
  • Earth Room

Disney has not made an official announcement regarding these plans.

Menus Announced for Lunar New Year at Disney California Adventure

Disneyland Resort will bring its biggest Lunar New Year celebration yet to Disney California Adventure Park, Friday, Jan. 26 to Sunday, Feb. 18, 2018. To commemorate the Year of the Dog, guests will experience more Lunar New Year fun than ever before as the celebration expands to 24 days full of multicultural performances, fun-filled activities, beautiful décor, delicious cuisine and themed merchandise to celebrate the start of a new year.

Here are the menus for the marketplaces located throughout the north side of Paradise Pier.
