Caramel Turtle Milkshake is the Bottomless Milkshake of the Month at Magic Kingdom’s Plaza Restaurant

The Milkshake of the Month over at The Plaza Restaurant in the Magic Kingdom is the Caramel Turtle Milkshake.  The All-You-Care-To-Enjoy milkshake is vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, caramel sauce, and walnuts topped with whipped cream and a cherry.  Cost is $9, plus tax.

The Plaza Restaurant serves up family-friendly fare for lunch and dinner and is located on Main Street U.S.A.  You can view their complete menu here.

New Art Exhibition Coming To Epcot American Adventure Gallery This Summer

This summer, a new art exhibition called “Creating Tradition: Innovation and Change in American Indian Art” will be coming to the American Heritage Gallery at The American Adventure in Epcot.

According to Disney, “Creating Tradition: Innovation and Change in American Indian Art” is made possible through the collaboration of the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture (MIAC) in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian (NMAI) in Washington, D.C.

Among the featured artists with works on display are fashion designer Loren Aragon (Acoma Pueblo), noted doll maker Glenda McKay (Ingalik-Athabascan), and Juanita Growing Thunder (Assiniboine Sioux) from the Growing Thunder family of Montana.

As with other exhibitions that have graced the American Heritage Gallery, this new exhibition will feature interactive elements, where some of the artists will share the creative process and inspirations behind their works in their own words.

Disneyland After Dark Star Wars Night Tickets Now On Sale for Disneyland Resort Annual Passholders

The second Disneyland After Dark event series will continue May 3, 2018 with Star Wars Night. Guests will be able to ring in May the Fourth, and be the first to experience the new “March of the First Order,” meet Rey at Star Wars Launch Bay, and celebrate the return of Hyperspace Mountain.

Guests are encouraged to attend in their best Star Wars attire.  The one night event will also feature:

  • Exclusive after-hours access to Disneyland park, with mix-in access beginning at 6 p.m.
  • Special entertainment, including character encounters and more!
  • Themed décor and immersive Star Wars-themed photo opportunities.
  • Commemorative lanyard, event credential and complimentary PhotoPass photos during the event.
  • First opportunity to purchase limited-edition “May the 4th” merchandise.

Disneyland After Dark takes place from 9pm – 1am.  Cost is $99 per adult and for children ages 3 and up.  Tickets go on sale:

  • March 27: Tickets on sale for Disneyland Resort Annual Passholders
  • March 29: Tickets on sale for general public

Beginning May 4, all Disneyland park guests will be able to enjoy these new and returning Star Wars experiences:

  • “March of First Order” – Captain Phasma guides a squad of First Order stormtroopers through Tomorrowland in a dramatic show of force.
  • Encounter Rey – Meet the Resistance’s newest hero at Star Wars Launch Bay.

Wine Bar George Hosts Weekly and Monthly Disney Vacation Club Member Events

Disney Vacation Club Members and special guests will be able to enjoy exclusive weekly wine tasting experiences and monthly wine dinners at Wine Bar George at Disney Springs as part of Membership Magic.*

Presented on Tuesdays from 3:30-5 p.m., and designed to help as many as 30 people taste wine like a Master Sommelier, the weekly wine tasting experience includes samplings of six types of wines from well-known and also up-and-coming wineries. Each week features a different collection of wines paired with a sampling of cheese and charcuterie. The cost of $45 a person (maximum of six people in a party) includes tax and gratuity.

The monthly wine dinners, meanwhile, accommodate as many as 10 people on select Wednesday evenings from 6-8 p.m., and are hosted by George Miliotes and, when available, a featured winemaker. This monthly experience, which includes a reception and three-course dinner with wine pairings, is priced at $115 a person, inclusive of tax and gratuity.

Located in The Landing neighborhood of Disney Springs near The BOATHOUSE and Morimoto Asia, the two-story, 6,000-square-foot, 210-seat Wine Bar George is the vision of Master Sommelier George Miliotes, regarded as one of the restaurant industry’s foremost wine experts.
