Disney’s Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show Canceled December 5

Disney’s Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has been canceled for Wednesday, December 5, 2018 due to low temperatures.  This is for the 8:15pm show only.

Spirit of Aloha takes place in an open-air theater and treats guests to a  luau with Polynesian dancing and an all-you-care-to-enjoy, family-style feast.

Other closures due to the weather include Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park which will also be closed December 5.  Disney’s Blizzard Beach is already closed for its annual refurbishment.

Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Closed December 5 Due to Low Temps

Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon will be closed Wednesday, December 5 due to low temperatures forecasted for the area.  The water park is expected to reopen on Thursday, December 6, 2018.

Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park remains closed through January 5, 2019 for its annual refurbishment.

Where to Find 2018 Christmas Religious Services at Walt Disney World Resort

If you will be visiting Walt Disney World Resort this Christmas and are looking for a place to attend religious services, you can head over to Disney’s Contemporary Resort on Christmas morning where they will be offering two different services.

A Catholic Mass will take place in the Fantasia Ballroom at 8:00am and 10:30am on December 25.  There will also be a Protestant service in the Fantasia Ballroom at 9:15am.

Parking at the resort will be restricted so Disney guests wishing to attend one of these services should use the monorail or take Disney bus transportation to the Magic Kingdom and walk or take the designated shuttle to Disney’s Contemporary Resort.  Transportation is scheduled to begin at 7am.


NEW Christmas Cookie Cupcake at Sprinkles at Disney Springs

The Christmas Cookie Cupcake is now available at Sprinkles at Disney Springs through December 26!  This special treat features vanilla cake studded with red and green sprinkles, topped with vanilla buttercream frosting with red and green sprinkles and a homemade sugar cookie.

During your visit, you can also try their Candy Cane ice cream available through December 31 which is peppermint ice cream layered with classic candy cane pieces.
