Over the weekend John Stamos, who is a huge Disney fan, proposed to girlfriend Caitlin McHugh in perfect Disney fashion at Disneyland park. Check out how the two lovebirds shared their announcement on Instagram:
You’ll definitely want to take a look below and check out the new sweet treats available at the Disney Parks!
At Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort, you’ll find the popular pineapple Dole Whip is now being offered on top of a Pineapple Upside-Down Cake at Aloha Isle in Adventureland.
Also at magic Kingdom, you’ll find the new Baseball Brownie at Casey’s Corner.
And right next door at The Plaza Restaurant, guests will find October’s Milkshake of the Month – a Chocolate-Hazelnut Milkshake. This decadent chocolate shake comes topped with whipped cream and a cherry.
Over at Epcot, you’ll find villainous cupcakes just in time for Halloween! From Oct. 22-31, be sure to stop by Sunshine Seasons in The Land Pavilion to get these villain-themed desserts. The Ursula dessert is a bubble gum mousse and vanilla cake covered in a Black Mirror Glaze, featuring Ariel’s contract and Ursula’s shell necklace – both made with fondant. Next, the Cruella De Vil dessert consists of chocolate and meringue cake with cream cheese filling. Finally, there’s the Queen of Hearts chocolate cupcake topped strawberry cream cheese icing, and decorated with the crown of the queen herself.
Every holiday season, Disneyland park in California transforms “it’s a small world” into a glittering wonderland. In past years, the attraction did not offer FastPass during its holiday overlay which resulted in long wait times to sail the happiest voyage, especially at night.
This year, Disney has announced it will offer FastPass and MaxPass, (Disneyland Resort’s paid digital FastPass service), for “it’s a small world” during its holiday overlay. Holiday season kicks off at Disneyland Resort November 10 and runs through January 7, 2018.
Online speculation suggests this could be a test for the attraction, and if all goes well, FastPass could be offered throughout the year at “it’s a small world”.
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa at the Disneyland Resort recently underwent an extensive hotel-wide renovation. Guest rooms have been completely redesigned with a fresh sense of luxury and the pool deck has been refreshed with beautiful, new hardscapes to reinforce the Arts and Crafts style.
In addition to these upgrades, the six-story Grand Hall lobby was also recently upgraded with new, stylish furnishings and design elements. Take a look at some of the details below.
To complement the existing Arts and Crafts motif, new contemporary designs can be found throughout furniture pieces, upholstery graphics, woodwork and carpeting.
Custom tete-a-tete chairs provide interesting design and function, while boldly upholstered sofa and chair pairings offer a comfortable, welcoming setting. Coffee tables feature beautiful inlay woodwork and leather-topped stools showcase hidden Mickey details. The redesigned space is perfect for lounging with family, relaxing with a glass of wine from the Hearthstone Lounge, or simply admiring the lobby’s focal point—the cavernous fireplace and its roaring fire.
New hardwood flooring has been installed throughout the lobby, as well as new carpet. Walt Disney Imagineers wanted to keep the same California-poppy-patterned carpet design, but used different materials to make the colors and textures more vivid and dimensional. The carpet’s design was inspired by the textile work of designer William Morris, one of the earliest and most influential proponents of the Arts and Crafts movement.
