‘Hocus Pocus’ Sequel in the Works at Disney Channel

Hocus Pocus was originally released in 1993 and quickly became a cult classic among fans.  The original film starring Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy followed the story of three villainous witches who are  resurrected in Salem, Massachusetts. The original movie credited David Kirschner as producer and Kenny Ortega as director.

We are now hearing talks that a Hocus Pocus sequel may be in development at the Disney Channel.  The made for TV movie  would have a new cast and director, however Kirschner would return as executive producer.  Mick Garris, who co-wrote the original Hocus Pocus, hinted of the project during a recent interview with Forbes magazine.

You can catch the original Hocus Pocus during Freeform Channel’s 13 Nights of Halloween event.
