The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival will return this year with more dates, more marketplace booths, and more culinary events. The 22nd annual event will run for 75 days (up 13 more from last year), opening August 31 and running through November 13, 2017. And to celebrate Epcot’s 35th Anniversary, there will be a record number of marketplace booths stretching all around World Showcase and into Future World.
The talented Disney chefs are already hard at work creating new dishes for the event which can be paired with wines, beer and ciders available at the festival booths as well. A few of the new dishes that will debut this year is the crispy chicken with griddled cornbread and red-eye gravy from the Farm Fresh Marketplace and the spicy Korma Chicken (pictured above) with cucumber-tomato salad, almonds, cashews and warm naan bread from the India Marketplace.
There’s also the Charcuterie in a cone (pictured below) from the Spain Marketplace and a sweet dish from India, the pistachio cardamom cake with a dollop of chocolate coconut mousse. Yum!
Also, new this year are culinary demos and dishes geared towards the kiddos.
Festival favorites returning this year are the Ratatouille-inspired scavenger hunt, Eat to the Beat concerts, famous celebrity chefs, hands-on culinary workshops, demonstrations at the Festival Center, Party for the Senses and more.
